Product Review: Gnu Pickle

Gnu Pickle

Today we’re looking at the Gnu Pickle Snowboard. This all around board really takes things to the next level. It performs in the park, on the slopes and in backcountry powder. Leading the charge is the Asymmetric construction.

From the sidecuts to the core, asymmetry is the name of the game. You don’t turn the same on your heelside as you do on your toe side and the sidecuts reflect that. For the toe side Gnu increased the angle of edge for a more precise turn, while the heelside edge has a lower angle of edge for enhanced turning power. The core itself is an amalgam of Aspen, genetically modified wood and EISS 9. This in combination with the UHMW polyethylene base makes this board fast and responsive.

Gnu’s Magne-traction features serrated edges to give you the upperhand in icy conditions. On the other hand the board’s rocker is centered between your feet to give you tip-to-tail edge contact while floating effortlessly through deep powder. This all ads up into an awesome all-mountain package. Take a look at Gnu rider Matt Edgers on his Gnu Pickle.
